Islam is more than one issue

“It helps us to have a comprehensive understanding and outlook about Islam.”

The khateeb, at 36:02

In one sentence

For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that Islam is too complete to be reduced to one issue. Correct belief is foundational, but faith must also shape worship, character, modesty, justice, and service to others. The speaker urged us to examine ourselves, learn what we do not know, and keep striving against our own weaknesses. He also reminded us to treat people fairly, including those who have not harmed us. We ended by asking Allah to strengthen us and bring justice and mercy to our lives and to Palestine.
