Control anger before it causes harm
Read this out loud
Anger is a normal feeling, but it becomes dangerous when we let it make our decisions or choose our words. The Prophet taught that real strength is controlling ourselves when we are angry. We can seek Allah's protection, change our position, pause before replying, lower our voices, and forgive people. This week, we can choose one situation where we often become angry and practice responding with patience and kindness.
Talk about it
Questions for dinner
- When has anger taken over the steering wheel for you, and what happened next?
- What is one kind action you could take after forgiving someone?
- Where could you practice the Sunnah response to anger this week?
One thing to try this week
Choose one situation where anger usually appears and practice the Sunnah there this week.
