Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that Allah’s covering of our faults is a blessing, not permission to expose other people. The story of Ma'iz and Hazal showed that even when a sin is known, we should not rush to uncover what Allah has concealed, while the person who sinned should turn back sincerely. We were told not to publicize our own sins or let repeated disobedience harden us into defiance. At home and in the community, we should protect one another’s dignity, repent, and build bonds through honest participation and service. The khutbah also invited families to the barbecue and town hall and asked the community to support completing the masjid.

  3. How can our family help make the masjid a place where people feel covered and supported?
