For the dinner table

The khutbah reminds us that the Quran guides us through three big themes: Allah's oneness, the prophets' message, and the unseen life to come. Every prophet and many of the earliest Muslims faced pain, rejection, and hardship, so trials are not proof that Allah has abandoned us. When life is good, we respond with gratitude; when life is hard, we respond with patience and turn back to Allah. This world is temporary, while the hereafter is where complete justice and lasting reward will be found. We should therefore keep hope, stay firm in faith, and pray for Muslims facing suffering, including in Gaza and Lebanon.

  1. What is one good thing you can thank Allah for today?
  2. When something hard happens, what can patience look like in our family?
  3. How can we keep hope when we hear about people suffering far away?
