For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that the Prophet Muhammad experienced painful hardships, including rejection and the loss of people who supported him. His example teaches us to turn to Allah in prayer and dua when life feels difficult. Remembering that we belong to Allah and will return to Him can help us renew our trust during loss. The khutbah also connected this lesson to Ramadan, which brings blessings alongside hunger, tiredness, and changes to our routines. As a family, we can prepare by practicing patience and helping one another remember Allah when things are hard.

  1. When something feels hard, what would you like to ask Allah for?
  2. What could our family do to comfort someone who feels sad or alone?
  3. What part of Ramadan might challenge you, and how can we help each other?
