For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that seeking knowledge is an important part of knowing and worshipping Allah. The khateeb encouraged students, teachers, and parents to approach learning with good manners, thoughtful questions, and a sincere intention. He explained that learning can go beyond memorizing facts for grades: literature, history, math, and science can help us reflect on Allah and His creation. Beneficial knowledge should increase our love of Allah and improve how we treat people. He also urged us to share what we learn and follow the Prophet's example of teaching through a life filled with beauty, love, mercy, and devotion.
