For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that knowledge is a gift from Allah and that learning should help us grow closer to Him and benefit others. The imam described how the Prophet Muhammad taught gently and kindly, even when someone made a mistake. He encouraged us to study with sincere intentions, so that our everyday learning can become worship. He also reminded us to put what we learn into practice, share it, and choose knowledgeable, sincere teachers. For parents, his message was to love our children, listen to them, and support both their learning and their faith.

  1. When has someone helped you learn by being patient and kind?
  2. What is something you know that you could teach someone else this week?
  3. What could we do at home to help you feel more supported when learning something difficult?
