For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Ramadan is a gift from Allah and a chance to return to Him with hope for mercy and forgiveness. He encouraged us to prepare together and write down goals before the month begins. Fasting means more than leaving food and drink; it also calls us to guard our words, eyes, and ears and stay away from lying, cheating, and backbiting. He suggested reading a little Qur'an after each prayer and encouraged us to understand it through translation and explanation. He also urged us to make dua for ourselves and our children, feed people who are fasting, and pray together, making good use of the time Allah gives us.
