For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us to be grateful for the gift of Islam and not let hostile opinions define its worth. When we worry about the future, he encouraged us to build faith inside ourselves and our homes through taqwa, dhikr, family prayer, and time at the masjid. He described life as knowing Allah, purifying our character, and using that growth to serve society. He also urged Muslims in America to speak with confidence and fairness, neither attacking the country harshly nor shrinking our Muslim identity.

  1. What is one way we can make our home more connected to Allah?
  2. Which character trait would you like to improve, and who might benefit?
  3. How can we speak confidently about Islam while still being fair?
