For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that even Allah's prophets faced very difficult situations, and their trust in Allah helped them through. Through the stories of Musa, Ibrahim, and Yunus, he encouraged us to strengthen our own faith when we cannot see a way forward. He urged us to bring our worries to Allah in sincere du'a and to make time for night prayer. He also reminded us not to assume that another person's illness or struggle is a punishment. Salah, remembrance of Allah, and gratitude help prepare our hearts for life's storms, even though they do not mean we will never be tested.

  1. Which prophet's story from the khutbah would you like to remember when something feels difficult, and why?
  2. What worry or hope would you like to bring to Allah in du'a?
  3. How could our family show kindness to someone who is going through a hard time?
