For the dinner table

The khutbah teaches that loving the Prophet means following his Sunnah throughout our whole lives, not honoring him only on one day. Allah sees us even when other people do not, so we should avoid sin, keep private sins private, and return to Allah in repentance. Our wishes should be trained to match what the Prophet taught. We should follow the Qur’an, the Sunnah, and the example of the earliest Muslims while loving people and wanting good for them. Because life is uncertain, we should ask forgiveness and seek steadfastness every day.

  1. What is one desire you could practice guiding according to the Sunnah?
  2. How can we show love for someone while still disagreeing with an action?
