For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that raising children includes caring for their faith and character as well as their food, clothing, and home. The khateeb described how the prophets prayed for righteous children and taught their families to worship Allah. He encouraged parents to teach prayer gently, helping children understand that we pray to please Allah. He also reminded us that children learn from seeing adults practice patience, read the Quran, pray, and show good manners. As a family, we can make time for one another, practice humility, and help each other remain kind and truthful at school and at home.

  3. What could you do to help someone at school who is being left out or bullied?
