Return to Allah before your heart hardens

“Everything that distracts us from Allah can become dangerous.”

The khateeb, at 75:11

The khutbah teaches that believers should dedicate every part of life to Allah by resisting heedlessness, softening the heart through worship, and returning to Allah before death.

For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that every part of life, work, family, relationships, and worship, should be guided by awareness of Allah. The speaker warned that sins and endless distractions can slowly harden the heart, even when religious habits remain. He pointed to the Prophet's sincere prayer in hardship and urged us to remember death, repent, and return to the Qur'an and dhikr. In the sacred month of Dhul-Qa'dah, we should avoid wrongdoing and use our time more intentionally. A small, sincere return to Allah can change a person's whole life.
