The khutbah reminds us that Allah’s mercy is greater than our mistakes. When we do wrong, we should admit it honestly, feel sincere remorse, and trust Allah while seeking forgiveness. Self-forgiveness does not excuse sin; it means we stop tormenting ourselves, repair harm where possible, and begin a better chapter. We can show that repentance through prayer, istighfar, kind words, good deeds, and helping people in need.
