Quotes
In the khateeb's words

“The command for us is that we should exercise sabr and patience. And the reward for... Patience is Jannah.”
Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
The khateeb reminded us that our life here is short, like crossing a bridge, but our choices still matter. He described life as a test and explained three kinds of sabr, or patience: continuing to obey Allah, staying away from what Allah forbids, and facing life's hardships. Prayer, fasting, giving charity, and resisting temptation can all take effort. When we face difficulties, we can remember that we belong to Allah and will return to Him, while continuing to make dua. The khutbah ended with hope: Allah promises Jannah as the reward for patience.
- What is one good habit you could practice patiently this week?
- How can our family help each other when getting ready to pray feels difficult?
- What could you say or do to comfort someone who is having a hard day?
