The khutbah says that love drives much of what people do, but human love can be conditional and temporary, while Allah’s love does not fade or depend on status. It identifies six qualities Allah loves: taqwa, tawbah, ihsan, sabr, tawakkul, and justice. We are urged to put Allah above our desires, ego, pain, plans, and personal bias, including during suffering and family conflicts. The goal is to live these qualities sincerely so that we are among those Allah loves.
