“Never become so disconnected through it that you forget your community.”

For the dinner table

The khateeb said knowledge and intelligence are gifts from Allah, so Muslims should not fear science or new technology. AI can be useful, but it can also repeat errors and biases, weaken our thinking, spread deception, and deepen loneliness. We should learn how AI works and use it as a tool without letting it replace our souls, families, communities, or critical judgment. For religious questions, especially fatwas, we should learn from the Quran and Sunnah and ask qualified scholars who can understand our circumstances. The goal is to move forward with wisdom, faith, and human connection.

  1. Where could AI help our family, and where should we be careful?
  2. What is one way we can spend more meaningful time with real people this week?
  3. Why might a scholar need to understand a person before answering a religious question?
