For the dinner table

Imam Taha reminded us that Ramadan is an opportunity to grow closer to Allah and become better people. He encouraged us to prepare ahead of time by learning about the month, making dua, and setting personal and family goals for extra worship. We can welcome Ramadan with happiness and help children feel its special meaning through decorating our homes together. He also urged us to ask about fasting rules we do not understand, sincerely repent, and work on leaving bad habits behind. Ramadan is also a time to share its meaning with people around us and remember those facing hardship through prayer, charity, and speaking up for their well-being.

  1. What is one extra good deed you would like us to plan together for Ramadan?
  2. How would you like to help make our home feel ready for Ramadan?
  3. If a classmate asked why we fast, what would you want them to understand?
