The khutbah reminds us that every person faces Shaytan's whispers throughout life. Shaytan can use money, family, work, friendships, desires, and bad habits to distract us from worship. We can protect ourselves through daily remembrance, good companions, dua, regular prayer, and sincere repentance. Repentance means regretting the past, stopping the sin now, and firmly intending not to return to it. We should also gently help family and friends return to Allah, because our choices affect the people around us.

  1. What helps you remember Allah when you are busy or distracted?
  2. What qualities make someone a good friend for your faith?
  3. How can we help someone who is struggling without judging them?
