For the dinner table

Allah promises to provide for us, but keeping and strengthening our iman, or faith, requires our own effort. We grow through learning, doing good deeds, and reflecting on what Allah has taught us. Wealth and possessions are temporary trusts, so loss should not destroy us and gain should not make us arrogant or forgetful. Only Allah knows the Hour, the rain, what a child will be, future provision, and where each person will die. Remembering these limits should make us humble, grateful, and less attached to worldly things.
