For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that each new day, each night, and the passing of a year give us a chance to reflect on how we live. We cannot stop time, but we can use it well and seek barakah, or blessing, in it. He asked us to notice how scrolling on our phones can take time away without us realizing it. Before bed, we can remember the good we did, plan to build on it, and think about how to avoid repeating our mistakes. Small good deeds done consistently can strengthen our connection with Allah and bring peace to our hearts.

  2. When does screen time slip away from you, and what else would you like to make time for?
  3. What small good deed could we help each other do regularly as a family?
