Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

Today, Imam Abdul-Hafiz reminded us to be grateful that Allah helped us come to Jumu'ah and put a good intention into action. He focused on taqwa: being mindful of Allah, fearing His displeasure, and choosing what pleases Him. He explained that Allah loves and supports those who have taqwa, and that fasting helps us develop this awareness. He also reminded us that Allah sees us when we are with others and when we are alone. The khutbah encouraged us to bring that awareness into our daily choices and trust Allah for help through difficulties.
