In the khateeb's words
“But guess what Allahu subhanahu wa ta'ala Has a sunnah That never changes”
“Yes you need to ask the sheikh About marriage Yes you need to ask the sheikh About buying and selling Yes you need to ask the sheikh About divorce”
“Measure and examine What they are saying With surat al-fatihah And constantly ask Allahu subhanahu wa ta'ala For hidayah and a tawfiq”
For the dinner table
The khateeb spoke about how ordinary Muslims can feel lost when different teachers, podcasts, and opinions pull them in opposite directions. He reminded us that Allah is the Lord of the great angels and the One who guides to the straight path. He taught that Surah al-Fatihah, the Umm al-Kitab, gives every Muslim a daily foundation: worship Allah, seek His help, and ask for guidance. We should measure religious claims against that foundation while asking qualified scholars about detailed matters such as marriage, business, and divorce. The khutbah ended by urging us to keep asking Allah for guidance and success.
- When have you felt confused by different opinions, and what helped you find direction?
- What part of al-Fatihah helps you most when you need Allah’s guidance?
- Which questions should we take to a trusted scholar?
