For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that real hope in Allah’s mercy leads us to pray, make an effort, and change our behavior. He encouraged us to balance hope with fear of accountability, so we keep doing good without giving up on ourselves. Even when we regret our mistakes, we still have an opportunity to ask Allah for forgiveness and return to Him. Through Musa’s story at the sea, he taught us to do what we can, even when it seems small, and trust Allah with what we cannot control. He ended by asking Allah to help us make repentance visible through apologies, returning what we owe, and building habits of kindness and honesty.
