For the dinner table

The khutbah reminds us that Ramadan is nearly finished, so we should honestly review how we have used it. We can strengthen our worship by reading the Quran, giving charity, protecting our prayers, and seeking the last ten nights and Laylat al-Qadr. Fasting is not only about avoiding food and drink; it also means leaving sinful speech and actions. If we find shortcomings, we should repent sincerely rather than give up. There is still time to use Ramadan well and turn back to Allah.

  1. What good deed can we still do before Ramadan ends?
  2. How can we make our fasting affect the way we speak and act?
  3. What would help us spend the last ten nights more intentionally?
