For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that Allah knows everything about us, wherever we are. The khateeb explained that Allah gives special support and protection to those who are righteous, strive to do good, and remain patient. He shared how Musa trusted Allah at the sea and how the Prophet reassured Abu Bakr in the cave. To bring these lessons into everyday life, he encouraged us to reflect on Allah’s names, remembering that Allah observes us, has power over everything, and hears us. He also encouraged us to choose companions who strengthen our trust in Allah and to grow in worship, including prayer and fasting. As a family, we can help each other turn what we heard into thoughtful choices and steady acts of worship.

  1. When you feel afraid, what could you remember from the story of Musa at the sea?
  2. What does a friend do that helps you remember Allah and feel encouraged?
  3. What small act of worship could we help each other practice this week?
