For the dinner table

The khateeb explained that Allah created us with fitrah, a nature that draws us toward Him and toward compassion for others. He described reminders from our deen as a way to reconnect with that nature and find greater peace and closeness to Allah. He reminded us that we all make mistakes, and that we should keep returning to Allah sincerely for forgiveness. This means noticing our actions, regretting what we have done wrong, and intending not to repeat it. Even when we stumble again, we should not give up hope in Allah’s mercy, but return to Him and keep trying.
