For the dinner table

The khutbah reminds us that Shaytaan tries to lure us through whispers, make sin seem attractive, and then leave us responsible for our choices. Repentance is still open while we are alive, and Allah has given us guidance. When temptation, anger, or doubt comes, we should stop, seek Allah’s protection, keep up dhikr, and use the prayers and bedtime remembrances mentioned. Good friends, timely or congregational Fajr, and layers of sunnah around our obligations can help build a spiritual fortress. We can also protect ourselves by leaving harmful friendships and turning back to Allah.

  1. Which daily moment is hardest for you to protect with dhikr, and what reminder could help?
  2. What makes a friendship bring someone closer to Allah?
  3. What could our family do this week to build a small spiritual fortress?
