Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
The khutbah reminded us that Islam means submitting to Allah, as Ibrahim did, and responding to His guidance with trust and obedience. We are called to follow the religion fully rather than choosing only the parts we prefer. Our wealth and children can become a source of reward when we use them for Allah’s sake and teach our children to love the masjid, Qur’an, and deen. The speaker also taught that success depends on bringing Allah a sound, purified heart. Because the heart guides the body, we should work on cleansing it from sins and distractions every day.
- Where can we practice “we hear and we obey” this week?
- How can our family use our time, money, or children’s learning for Allah’s sake?
- What helps keep a heart clean from distractions and sins?
