For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that five gifts can disappear: youth can become old age, health can become sickness, wealth can become poverty, free time can become busyness, and life ends in death. We should use these gifts for prayer, Qur’an, learning, service, family responsibilities, and charity. Parents and elders should encourage young people toward Islam with balance and wisdom, not discourage them. We should spend our time and money carefully, avoid distractions and sinful choices, and keep building deeds for the Hereafter. The sermon closed by asking Allah to keep hearts firm and help suffering Muslims, including those in Gaza and Sudan.
