For the dinner table

This khutbah reminds us that feeling confused or spiritually off-balance does not mean Allah has abandoned us. Confusion can wake the heart and lead us to seek Allah, Al-Hadi, the One who guides. In hard seasons, sabr means staying spiritually alert and holding fast to Allah while trusting that relief and ease come through patience and hardship. We are encouraged to make sincere du'a, pray istikhara, seek wise counsel, and take responsible action even when our hearts hesitate. The goal is not only to find the right path but to become people of trust, humility, and hope.

  1. What is one uncertainty that could become a reason to make du'a?
  2. What might spiritual alertness look like when we cannot change a difficult situation?
  3. How can we combine prayer, advice, and action when making a big decision?
