For the dinner table

Imam Ahmed Nawaz reminded us that gathering for Jumu'ah is a blessing, and encouraged us to listen carefully and put what we learn into practice. He urged us to turn to Allah during hardship and to stay humble and grateful when life is going well. He encouraged us to seek guidance in the Quran and make dua early, rather than leaving it until we have tried everything else. Through stories of the prophets and earlier believers, he emphasized hope, patience, and gratitude even when relief is hard to see. He also prayed for people facing oppression, especially in Syria and Palestine, and for a seriously ill woman and her family.
