For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that health and free time are two great blessings that people often appreciate only after losing them. Our time is part of our life, so hours spent without purpose can never be recovered. Phones, apps, entertainment, and other distractions can pull our attention away from worship, growth, and the people we love. Islam does not ask us to abandon rest, hobbies, or enjoyment, but it teaches us to keep a healthy balance and leave what does not truly concern or benefit us. We can begin today by organizing our lives around salah, making time for Allah, and being more present with our families.

  1. What is one blessing in your health or free time that you noticed today?
  2. If you gained one screen-free hour tomorrow, how would you want to use it?
  3. What is one small change you can begin today instead of postponing?
