For the dinner table

The khutbah reminded us that Allah is greater and more powerful than every worldly force. Allah provides for every creature, and no one can take away what He has decreed for us. Because Allah is generous and forgiving, we should turn to Him sincerely, ask forgiveness, and avoid associating partners with Him. Allah is also perfectly wise and knowledgeable, so believers should trust His commands even when they do not understand everything. We can carry these lessons into the week through reliance, gratitude, remembrance, worship, and repentance.

  1. When have you felt reassured by remembering that Allah controls provision?
  2. What does asking Allah for forgiveness look like in everyday life?
  3. Why might Allah’s wisdom be greater than our own understanding?
