For the dinner table

Today’s khutbahs reminded us to bring our faith into everyday life. The first khateeb encouraged us to read the Quran regularly, think about its meaning, and let it guide our choices. When we make mistakes, we should seek Allah’s forgiveness and repair what we can, rather than give up on ourselves. He also urged us to care sincerely about people suffering in Gaza and to make our conversations useful. The second khateeb described the Prophet’s mercy toward people and animals, encouraging us to practice that kindness ourselves. He reminded us to choose trustworthy people for personal advice and to be thoughtful about what we share.

  1. How could you show mercy to a person or animal this week?
  2. What makes someone a trustworthy person to ask for help?
