For the dinner table

The khutbah says that disturbing news and human wrongdoing should not make believers hopeless. Instead, we remember that Allah and His Messenger warned about deception, temptation, and hard trials, and that remembering Allah helps us see clearly. The world is like a farm: we can enjoy it, but our time and energy should be planted in deeds for the Hereafter. We should oppose serious wrongdoing without spreading rumors, normalizing indecency, or mocking people who fall. Even when results seem impossible, we should keep planting good and trust Allah with the outcome.

  1. What is one good seed you could plant with your time this week?
  2. How can we speak about wrongdoing without spreading it or becoming arrogant?
  3. What helps you remember Allah when you feel worried or tempted?
