For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that taqwa means being conscious of Allah wherever we are, including at home and when life feels difficult. The imam shared three practical ways to grow: remember Allah consistently, follow mistakes with repentance and good deeds, and treat people with good character. We can feel sad or angry and still choose words that please Allah. Taqwa does not mean being perfect; when we hurt someone, we should apologize, seek forgiveness, and work to repair the harm. As a family, we can help each other notice our habits, listen when someone feels hurt, and practice kindness alongside our worship.
