For the dinner table

The khutbah said that the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah are a golden chance to fill our scale with good deeds. Prayer, repentance, istighfar, fasting Arafah, kindness, and quiet charity can cleanse the heart and help erase sins. We should protect people’s rights, because insulting or harming others can leave us spiritually bankrupt on the Day of Judgment. The speaker warned against shirk, major sins, and letting minor sins pile up. This week, each family member can choose one easy good deed and keep it private and consistent.

  1. What good deed would you like to practice during these ten days?
  2. How can we help someone quietly without seeking attention?
  3. What does it mean to protect another person’s rights?
