Try this week
Seek help from family, a trusted elder, or professional services instead of trying to recover alone.
Think through the likely consequences of continuing the addictive behavior.
Keep a busy schedule filled with useful activities and minimize unstructured free time.
Pray on time, and pray two rak'ahs after doing something wrong as a discipline.
Reward positive progress and make changes gradually rather than demanding instant perfection.
Take a phone-free day, lock the phone away, and replace it with reading or another useful activity.
Avoid bad company and choose people who remind you of Allah.
Practice muraqaba by remembering that Allah sees your actions, and fast for added self-control.
Consider marriage as Prophetic guidance for those who are able.
