For the dinner table

The khutbah reminded us that being born Muslim is not the end of faith; we choose Islam through our daily actions. Hajj shows us that shaytan repeatedly tests us in vulnerable places, including work, marriage, private habits, and our phones. Resisting those whispers takes patience, just as prayer, fasting, modesty, and waking for fajr take patience. We should ask Allah for protection and keep returning to worship, the Qur’an, and the masjid. Most importantly, believers should never become hopeless, because even a small good action can change our dunya and akhirah.

  1. What is one everyday choice that can show we are choosing Islam?
  2. Where might a tempting whisper appear in your week, and how could you respond?
  3. What small good deed can you do even when you feel discouraged?
