For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that knowing Allah means learning His beautiful names, understanding them, and letting that knowledge shape how we live. Knowing Ar-Rahman, the Most Merciful, should encourage us to treat our family and others with mercy. He encouraged us to find our dignity through our relationship with Allah and to trust Him as our provider and helper. Through the stories of Hud, Nuh, and Musa, he described how reliance on Allah can strengthen our hearts during difficulty, even when we cannot see what comes next. He invited us to pause when we hear Allah’s name, notice its effect on our hearts, and ask Allah to deepen our faith and improve our character.

  1. Which name of Allah discussed in the khutbah would you like to understand better, and why?
  2. What did Musa’s trust in Allah teach you about facing something uncertain?
