The khutbah teaches that we should hope deeply in Allah’s mercy while still taking our actions and accountability seriously. Our worship matters, but we cannot claim Paradise through our deeds alone because every ability and opportunity to worship comes from Allah. We should understand the Quran, pray with greater mindfulness, care for people in need, and turn away from sinful habits. Allah does not merely accept sincere repentance; He rejoices when His servants return to Him. We should therefore live with humility, gratitude, hope, and a healthy fear of meeting Allah.
