“Your Aql should lead you that the Quran is from Allah . Your Aql should lead you that the Prophet is the Prophet of God. After that, it's about submission, even if it doesn't make sense.”

For the dinner table

The khateeb taught us how to explain our faith by helping people reflect on creation and introducing them to Allah. He described Allah as uniquely one, eternal, and free of needs, while we depend on Him. He explained that the Quran gives us guidance for life and that the Prophet's teachings show us how to live by it. He reminded us to share the message without taking responsibility for whether someone accepts it, and to let others think and speak. He also encouraged us to practice what we learn and show Islam through our actions.

  1. What is something in creation that makes you feel grateful to Allah?
  2. How can you show someone that you are listening carefully when they ask about Islam?
