For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Allah created us weak, and that recognizing our need for Him can become a source of strength. Stress, mistakes, and difficult moments can be opportunities to turn to Allah in prayer and ask for His help. Our talents are also gifts from Allah, so we should not let them make us think we can manage everything on our own. Admitting that we need help allows us to learn and grow closer to Him. He also reminded us to treat others with humility and kindness, because we do not know their struggles or where they are in their journey toward Allah.

  1. When something feels too hard, what could you ask Allah to help you with?
  2. What is one talent Allah has given you, and how could you use it to help someone?
  3. How can we make it easier for someone in our family to say, "I need help"?
