Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that raising children with faith requires daily effort from parents and the whole community. Parents should be close enough to their children that they can talk openly about difficult matters. Homes should include Quran, prayer, learning, love, mercy, and good examples from the adults. Children also need healthy friendships, positive masjid experiences, and mentors who understand their world. This work continues throughout a child's life and cannot be left only to the imam or weekend classes.
