For the dinner table
Today’s khutbah reminded us that remembering Allah is more than repeating words: it includes prayer, gratitude, helping people, and caring for the masjid. We were encouraged to notice our blessings and thank Allah instead of taking them for granted. When fear, stress, hunger, loss, or another hardship comes, we should respond with patience, prayer, and the reminder that we belong to Allah and will return to Him. The speaker said that Allah’s mercy and guidance are promised to those who remain patient. The khutbah also called Muslims to hold together and avoid division.
- What is one blessing you often overlook?
- How can we help someone this week as an act of dhikr?
- What can patience and prayer look like when something goes wrong?
