For the dinner table

The khutbah asks us to remember the Day of Judgment as the greatest meeting of our lives and to prepare for it now. We can prepare through daily self-accountability, sincere repentance, istighfar, and dua, especially in sujood and during the last third of the night. The imam also reminds us that our blessings should make us compassionate toward people suffering in Gaza, Sudan, and other places. As a family, we can end each day by asking what we should improve, seeking Allah’s forgiveness, and making dua for those in hardship.

  1. What is one thing you want Allah to help you improve this week?
  2. When could our family make dua together?
  3. How can we enjoy our blessings while remembering people in hardship?
