For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us to remember Allah in our everyday choices and prepare for the hereafter. Both difficult times and comfortable times can test how we live and what we value. Sometimes we ask Allah to remove a problem, and comfort comes through the Qur'an while the problem is still there. He encouraged us to seek the hereafter, make an effort, and remember that Allah rewards effort and hardship borne with the intention of pleasing Him. He ended by reminding us that even a small gift matters and inviting the congregation to help a masjid facing difficulty.
