For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that hardship is part of life, but we are never without a way forward. We seek Allah’s help through patience and prayer, including patience in obeying Allah, avoiding sin, and enduring calamity. Salah should be more than a physical routine; we should learn to love it and run toward it. When we fall short, we should not give up, but return to Allah, ask forgiveness, and increase our good deeds. The khutbah also asked us to pray for people facing oppression and hardship around the world.
