The stories of Maryam’s mother, Musa and Khidr, and the father with six daughters showed that what looks like a loss can become a blessing. We should honor our daughters, forgive people, keep good expectations of Allah, and be grateful for what He has chosen. The khutbah closed by encouraging contentment with Allah, Islam, and the Prophet, along with prayers for healing, forgiveness, and the wider Muslim community.
